Preparation for first use: Wash the pan by hand and dry thoroughly. Then grease the inside of the pan with oil and bake in an oven preheated to 150 °C (300 °F) for at least an hour. Remove the pan from the oven, let it cool, and then dry it with a cloth or paper towel. For new pans, repeat this process three times. It is recommended to periodically treat used pans to renew the protective layer that forms on the cast iron surface.
